This tool puts per­son­al col­or the­o­ry at your fin­ger­tips. It helps you iden­ti­fy someone’s inher­ent col­ors and pro­vides col­or guide­lines for per­son­al shop­ping, clos­et audits, acces­so­ry selec­tion, make-up, hair col­or selec­tion, and/or per­son­al envi­ron­ment design.

What You Can Accomplish with the CAT™ Assessment Tool

This tool will allow you to eas­i­ly assess a client’s per­son­al col­ors. You will be able to deter­mine your client’s val­ue and con­trast pat­tern, col­or tem­per­a­ture, inten­si­ty lev­el, and col­or fam­i­lies that relate to their hair, skin, eye col­ors and relat­ed reds. With this infor­ma­tion, you can edu­cate your client about their best col­or choic­es for cloth­ing and home decor.

About Mary Lou

Mary Lou Manlove is a Col­or Spe­cial­ist, Image Con­sul­tant and Train­er. She grad­u­at­ed from Col­or Design­ers Inter­na­tion­al, Col­or Design­er Pro­gram in 2001. This mul­ti-year train­ing was taught by Sharon Chris­man, a stu­dent and teach­ing assis­tant of Suzanne Caygill(1980). Sharon went on to devel­op a Col­or Sys­tem and relat­ed mate­ri­als to sys­tem­ize the per­son­al col­or analy­sis process. Although the col­or indus­try lost Sharon when she passed away in 2013. Mary Lou and oth­er col­or enthu­si­asts in Col­or Design­ers Inter­na­tion­al car­ry on her work today.

Mary Lou pur­chased the Col­or­Pro­file Col­or Sys­tem in 2020 from Debra Lindquist. This sys­tem pro­vides a wide array of all col­or qual­i­ties, which makes it pos­si­ble to accu­rate­ly select col­ors for all skin­tones, from the light­est to the dark­est skinned individuals.

Mary Lou is now ded­i­cat­ed to help­ing col­or pro­fes­sion­als and enthu­si­asts under­stand the basics of col­or, so they can excel in the col­or field of their choice.
