Got Color?
Are you good with color, but you want to know more?
Maybe you are not a personal shopper, but you do select clothing for your family,
And friends are always asking your color advice.
Do you have a good sense of style, but sometimes you get stumped on the color?
Or, you intuitively know what you picked works, but cannot explain why–
You may even be thinking of taking a color class, but don’t know where to start.
You may even be a professional interior designer, website designer, or style consultant and want to deepen your understanding of personal coloring and product selection.
These are all great reasons to learn more about color and here’s where to take the first step:
Learn to Use The CAT™ Assessment Tool
This tool puts personal color theory at your fingertips. It helps you identify someone’s inherent colors and provides color guidelines for personal shopping, closet audits, accessory selection, make-up, hair color selection, and/or personal environment design.
What You Can Accomplish with the CAT™ Assessment Tool
This tool will allow you to easily assess a client’s personal colors. You will be able to determine your client’s value and contrast pattern, color temperature, intensity level, and color families that relate to their hair, skin, eye colors and related reds. With this information, you can educate your client about their best color choices for clothing and home decor.
For example, if you are an interior designer, you can use the assessment tool to determine your client’s color preferences and also the range of colors they might like in their environment and design.
“We wear the colors—and live in the environments—that look like us,” says Mary Lou.
Many designers look into their client’s clothing and closets to help them identify what colors the client likes. The CAT™ Assessment Tool will help you keep track of those colors and determine if their closet colors are truly their colors.
For personal shoppers and stylists, using the CAT™ Assessment Tool will help you visualize your client’s colors, as well as help you match their coloring to the clothes you are recommending.
For color consultants and those who create color palettes, the CAT™ tool deepens your understanding of color and color harmony.
The CAT™ Assessment Tool includes a nine-page instruction guide and copies of sample Client Profiles with the rights to reproduce.
