Traveling?

Whether it’s a short jaunt, or,  a trip to Paris ~ flights can be challenging. But with a little preparation you can arrive at any destination looking fabulous. Here are some trouble-free-travel-tips!

What to wear

1. Be comfortable, but give a little thought to style. If you take care and look good, people are going to treat you accordingly. When you make the effort to look good people respond positively…please leave the sweat shorts and jammy pants for the locker room!

2. Wear things that breathe and move with you. A little stretch in pants and jackets to give room for comfort, yet, have form for style. Cabin temperatures fluctuate and your scarf or shawl is a comforting friend. Wear it around your neck or place over your lap to keep the chill away.

3. Personally, I like to travel in long skirts for comfort. One thing to be aware of, is that you may be patted down by security ~ for whatever reason!

4. Remember, you are traveling and don’t want to babysit your possessions! Bring “travel quality accessories” ~ inexpensive necklaces and fun earrings to add color. They will pull your outfits together and give you more variety but you won’t need to worry about losing them.

5. Do you over pack for trips? In the art of traveling light you can create 12 outfits from six pieces of clothing. No matter what you bring, test mix and match outfits before you pack your bags.

Freshen up kit

1. Damp facial towelettes can wipe that stale recycled air off your face, neck, and hands while making you feel clean and fresh.

2. Forget heavy makeup. The eyes have it ~ just before landing  apply a little eyebrow pencil to sharpen your look.

Comfort aids

2. Bring snacks. Although airlines are now offering snacks for sale, pack your own favorite healthy snacks instead. Familiar food keeps your blood sugar consistent and is soothing for the soul. Avoid feeling bloated with junk food offered at inflated prices.

3. Eye-shades and earplugs – a must!

4. Blow up neck pillows keeps neck stiffness away and so does a rolled up hand towel tucked behind your neck.
