Have you had a bad day lately?
Hey, it happens to everyone! But when you feel dreary, don’t let your wardrobe follow suit.
Time to clean out your closet and get ready for the change in seasons…and feel better.
Just some great tips to help you:
1) LOVE THEM OR LEAVE THEM: Gather up the items that you’ve never worn and try them on. Do you love them? If not then let them go. There are plenty of charities that need clothing this time of year. They sell these items to fund their activities. Or create a clothing swap for your girl friends and you.
2) LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES, so you will not buy them again. Take a class in design or get a consultant to teach you “what looks good on you and why”. Or watch which girlfriend at your swap looks good in your castoffs and see for whom you are buying (and stop).
3) ORGANIZE your closet in a way that makes sense to you. You can hang clothes by color from light to dark or hang them by item – pants, blouses, skirts, etc. Then on laundry day, you put your clothes back into the section you’ve created for them. Your closet will stay in order and getting
dressed will be a daily pleasure.
4) CHANGE WITH THE SEASON. As the weather starts to change remove the out-of-season clothing. Focus on the season you’re in and store everything else out of sight.
5) BE NICE TO YOURSELF. Love the body you have and you’ll get more out of it.
